UPDATE: This role can be located anywhere in the Mountain, Midwest, or Southern regions of the US (think cities such as Denver, Kansas City, Omaha, Des Moines, Chicago, St. Louis, Wichita, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Memphis, Nashville, New Orleans, Salt Lake City, Birmingham, Cincinnati, etc.).
It is now a remote or hybrid role (if you live in KC it is hybrid), but as long as you live within an hour (or so) commute of a major airport, you can be considered if you meet the qualifying details below.
Our client, an innovative company serving the livestock and agriculture markets, is seeking an experienced Vice President of Sales to lead its U.S. commercial sales organization. This is a rare opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, developing strategy, and working directly with customers to drive long-term growth.
The ideal candidate understands the agriculture industry, has earned credibility with cattle producers, ranchers, farmers, dealers, distributors, or agricultural retailers, and knows how to introduce innovative products into established markets. This is a player-coach role where leadership in the field is just as important as leadership in the office.
What You'll Do
Lead all U.S. sales activities and own revenue growth.
Coach, mentor, and develop a national sales team while helping recruit future talent.
Build scalable sales processes, forecasting, pipeline management, and performance metrics.
Partner with marketing to strengthen lead generation, customer engagement, and industry visibility.
Develop relationships with producers, dealers, distributors, trade organizations, and strategic partners.
Represent the company at industry events, customer meetings, and agricultural conferences.
Gather customer feedback and partner with internal teams to improve products, messaging, and the customer experience.
Help shape the long-term commercial strategy as the business continues to expand.
What We're Looking For
Successful leadership experience managing business-to-business and business-to-consumer sales teams.
Experience selling products, equipment, technology, software, or services into agriculture, livestock, ranching, or related industries.
Ability to build trust with cattle producers, farmers, ranchers, equipment dealers, or agricultural distributors.
Proven experience hiring, coaching, and developing successful sales professionals.
Strong understanding of CRM systems, forecasting, pipeline management, and sales analytics.
Comfortable traveling throughout the Midwest and other regions as needed.
Stable career progression with a history of consistent success.
Compensation and Opportunity
Base salary of $150,000 to $200,000, depending on experience.
