Job description
We are hiring our first VP of Sales to lead enterprise sales and build LuminX's sales organization. You will work directly with the founder and CEO to shape our go-to-market strategy, own revenue growth, establish a repeatable sales process, and recruit and develop the team as we scale.
This is a hands-on leadership role. Early on, you will personally lead key opportunities-from initial discovery and site visits through pilots, commercial negotiations, and expansion-while building the foundation for a successful sales team. You should be equally comfortable discussing growth strategy with the founders, walking a warehouse floor with an operations leader, and coaching a salesperson through a complex deal.
The ideal candidate has helped grow an enterprise technology business in a startup environment and knows how to turn early customer traction into a predictable sales motion. You bring strong commercial judgment, a disciplined approach to execution, and the ability to hire and develop talented people. You are also willing to get directly involved wherever needed to win customers and move the business forward.
What You'll Do
Own enterprise sales and revenue growth, including new customer acquisition, pilot conversion, and expansion across doors and sites.
Partner with the CEO to define go-to-market strategy, priority customer segments, revenue targets, and the resources needed to achieve them.
Build and lead the sales organization, including recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and setting clear goals and accountability for early hires.
Personally lead strategic opportunities and stay closely involved in key customer relationships as the team grows.
Establish a repeatable enterprise sales process covering account selection, prospecting, discovery, demonstrations, site visits, pilot design, negotiation, close, and expansion.
Build relationships with operations, supply-chain, IT, security, finance, procurement, and executive stakeholders inside complex organizations.
Develop the business cases, pricing structures, pilot success criteria, and rollout strategies that turn initial deployments into meaningful enterprise relationships.
Own pipeline development, forecasting, and the sales operating cadence, giving the founders clear visibility into performance, risks, and resource needs.
Partner closely with product, engineering, and field-deployment teams to align customer commitments with technical capabilities and ensure successful deployments.
Represent LuminX at customer sites, industry events, conferences, and partner meetings.
What We're Looking For
A strong track record in enterprise B2B sales, including personally closing complex opportunities and taking on sales leadership responsibilities.
Experience hiring, coaching, and developing salespeople, with clear accountability for team performance and revenue outcomes.
Experience building or scaling a sales motion in an early-stage or high-growth technology company.
Demonstrated success selling technical products to large organizations with multiple operational, technical, financial, and executive stakeholders.
The ability to translate company goals into a focused sales strategy, clear priorities, and consistent execution.
Strong judgment around opportunity qualification, pricing, negotiation, forecasting, and where to invest the team's time.
Strong outbound and pipeline-development skills, with the ability to build a team that consistently creates its own opportunities.
A willingness to personally prospect, run demonstrations, visit customer sites, and close deals while building the organization.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and executive relationship-building skills.
Enough technical curiosity to understand how LuminX works and translate product capabilities into operational and financial value.
Willingness to travel regularly to customer facilities and work in active warehouse, manufacturing, and industrial environments.
Nice to Have
Experience selling into logistics, warehousing, cold storage, manufacturing, automotive, retail distribution, or third-party logistics organizations.
Experience selling AI, computer vision, robotics, industrial automation, IoT, warehouse technology, or other products that combine software and hardware.
