Description
Proper Hospitality is seeking a Vice President of Wellness, Longevity & Performance to join our corporate team in Los Angeles.
Position Overview
Proper is scaling a Wellness, Longevity & Performance platform that integrates diagnostics, recovery, and structured lifestyle programming into select properties. This is not a spa expansion, but a revenue vertical intended to increase ancillary capture, extend length of stay, and stabilize seasonality in resort markets. The platform will launch with our upcoming flagship hotel, Lake Tahoe Proper.
The VP will design, launch, and scale the platform, owning product strategy, operating model, clinical partnerships, capital deployment, and financial performance. This role reports to the Founders and works closely with Development, Asset Management, Operations, Commercial, and Brand.
Core Responsibilities
Platform & Product
Define structured programs and modular services
Establish the diagnostic and recovery stack for urban and resort formats
Ensure alignment with Proper’s design-led brand
Operating Model
Build standardized clinical and performance SOPs
Design a lean staffing model balancing medical oversight and scalable treatments
Establish regulatory frameworks with legal counsel
Select and manage diagnostic and recovery technology partners
Set and manage KPIs including protocol capture rate, ancillary penetration, and average length of stay impact
Partner with Asset Management to measure longevity-driven TRevPAR lift
Oversee capital allocation and enforce ROI thresholds
Deliver measurable contribution to total property revenue and margin
Talent
Recruit contract medical directors and hire lead longevity RNs
Build a team that integrates clinical credibility with hospitality standards
Experience Profile
10-15 years in integrated wellness, performance hospitality, or destination health environments
Senior leadership experience at high-end wellness or longevity platforms
Experience launching or scaling multi-unit wellness operations
Strong P&L ownership and capital discipline
Familiarity with regulated clinical environments
Success in This Role
Achieve defined capture and ancillary revenue targets
Demonstrate measurable ALOS extension tied to structured programs
Build a repeatable platform suitable for portfolio-wide rollout
Position longevity as a durable, high-margin contributor to property economics
Why This Is Career-Defining
This role combines real estate integration, P&L accountability, and multi-property scale within a design-led hospitality brand. The leader who succeeds will not simply operate a wellness center. They will build a new revenue vertical inside Proper and help define how longevity integrates into the next generation of luxury hotels.
