Job TitleCoordinates activities and communications between the NSB and the Villages and communities; tracks and submits current information of Village activities for the North Slope Borough.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe following duties ARE NOT intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by all employees in this classification. Shown are duties intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.Schedules, prepares, and assists NSB employees, students, and the public with teleconference calls; operates teleconference equipment, and participates in weekly teleconference meetings.Attends meetings of the village, municipal or tribal council and village corporations; takes meeting minutes and reports to the Mayor any action items which affect the NSB.Provide assistance to NSB departments, affiliated agencies and residents in the Village as necessary.Researches and recommends areas in which the NSB may assist the Village residents.Prepares an activity report and maintains other logs as required.Assures assigned projects are implemented and working.Posts public notices, assist with setting up for meetings and conferences and provides reports on local issues.Enter data into the computer tracking systems.Perform preventative maintenance on routine janitorial service in building.Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of Borough policies and procedures.Skill in operating teleconference equipment and a personal computer utilizing a variety of basic software.Skill in using personal computers and a variety of software applications to include the ability to access and do research using the Internet.Education, Experience, Certifications and Licenses RequiredHigh school graduate or G.E.D/or, a combination of 12 years education and related work experience.One year of clerical work experience;Valid Alaska Driver's License that meets North Slope Borough insurance criteria.THE NORTH SLOPE BOROUGH IS AN ALCOHOL AND DRUG FREE WORKPLACE.This Job Description reflects North Slope Borough's best effort to describe the essential functions and qualifications of the job described.
