Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, experienced Vinyl Siding Installer for a full-time temporary position in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
This role will focus exclusively on single-story residential projects, so there is no high-elevation ladder or scaffolding work involved. All projects are located locally in the Fort Walton Beach area, and no out-of-town travel is required.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with residential exterior remodeling, siding installation, or framing and understands proper preparation, layout, installation, and finishing techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Remove existing siding and exterior materials as needed.
Inspect underlying wood and exterior surfaces for visible rot, damage, or areas requiring attention before installation.
Install house wrap, insulation foam, and other weather-resistant materials.
Measure and establish proper siding layout using chalk lines and levels.
Install starter strips, J-channels, inside and outside corner posts, and trim around windows and doors.
Measure, cut, and install vinyl siding panels accurately and level.
Properly fasten siding to allow for normal expansion and contraction.
Cut and fit siding around utility meters, lighting fixtures, vents, windows, doors, and other exterior obstacles.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area throughout the project.
Remove loose nails, vinyl scraps, packaging, and other debris from the job site daily.
Complete final cleanup to ensure the property is left neat and professional.
Qualifications & Requirements
1–3 years of hands-on experience in residential siding installation, exterior remodeling, construction, or framing preferred.
Previous vinyl siding installation experience strongly preferred.
Ability to accurately measure, cut, level, and install exterior building materials.
Comfortable working outdoors in Florida weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly bend, kneel, stand, and perform physical construction work.
Must have basic siding/construction hand tools, including a tape measure, snips, utility knife, hammer, and level.
Dependable transportation to the local shop and/or job sites in the Fort Walton Beach area.
Strong work ethic, punctuality, attention to detail, and reliability.
Ability to follow job-site safety procedures and supervisor instructions.
