Special Counsel - Nationwide (Remote / Virtual Office)
A leading national labor and employment law firm is seeking a Special Counsel with 7+ years of employment law experience to join its Virtual Office , offering a predominantly remote practice with the backing of one of the most respected L&E platforms in the country. This is an exceptional opportunity for seasoned practitioners who enjoy full‑cycle employment litigation but want the flexibility of a modern, virtual work environment-with no business development pressure .

Key Responsibilities
Manage administrative agency charges, attorney demand letters, and single‑plaintiff employment litigation for a broad roster of clients.
Lead case strategy and supervise team members, ensuring high-quality work product.
Conduct and defend depositions, draft and review pleadings and motions, and represent clients at hearings, conferences, and trials.
Collaborate with partners and attorneys across the Virtual Office, with support from paralegals and shared administrative resources.
Potential involvement in class actions, PAGA matters, and other labor & employment issues.
Travel as needed (primarily local).
Key Qualifications
J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school.
7+ years of experience handling employment law matters and litigation.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high productivity and responsiveness.
Competitive compensation : Annual salary range of $167,500-$205,000 , based on billable target selection, experience, and qualifications.
Remote flexibility : Work primarily from home with full support from a national firm infrastructure.
No business development requirements , allowing full focus on legal practice.
