# VO Director at Makeshift Software**Makeshift Software Inc.** | Remote (3–6 months) → Hybrid On-Site **Full-Time**### About Hexborn**Hexborn** is our upcoming dark fantasy action RPG — a brutal blend of hack-and-slash combat, deep dungeon crawling, guild progression, and player-driven rivalry set in a world consumed by an ever-expanding corruption known as the Graveglass Blight. Players rise from an unknown mage into the leader of a legendary guild, mastering arcane combat, recruiting allies, forging relics, and descending into cursed ruins and large-scale raids to uncover the truth behind their rare ability to fly.The demo is live now on **Steam**.We need someone who can sit in the booth and on the mocap stage and pull performances that make the Graveglass Blight, our guild, and every character we cast feel real — not just voiced.### The RoleWe're looking for an experienced **VO Director** to lead voice direction for **Hexborn'**s cast, working directly with actors to draw out performances that serve both character and story. You'll direct — and where useful, perform in — motion capture sessions, and you'll have a real voice in narrative decisions, not just execution of a locked script.This is a creative leadership role that requires both strong people-direction instincts and genuine storytelling judgment. You'll be trusted to push back on a line, a beat, or a performance choice when it serves the story better.### What You'll Need* Deep experience with **performance arts*** A proven ability to **draw strong vocal performances** from actors and actresses* Strong familiarity with **narrative storytelling devices*** A genuine willingness to **influence narrative decisions**, not just execute them* Experience **directing motion capture sessions**, with the ability to perform in them as needed**Nice to have:*** **Script writing** experience### Perks & Tools* **OptiTrack Prime 41** motion capture system* **Faceware Mark IV** mocap helmets for facial performance capture* Industry-grade workstation, built to spec: **see our standard build*** Remote-first for the first 3–6 months, transitioning to hybrid on-site thereafter### Work ArrangementWe'll start fully remote for a 3–6 month grace period while you ramp up and get embedded with the team, then transition to a hybrid on-site schedule.
