Overview
nThe mission ofHelio Heath, Inc.is to promote recovery from the effects of substance use and mental health disorders and other health issues. Helio Health is seeking aVocational Counselor II for ourInsights of Helio Health Programin Gloversville, NY to assist clients in achieving a recovery lifestyle and meet the vocational rehabilitation needs of clients.
nHours: M-F 8am-4:30pm
nPay:$34.00/hr. - $36.00/hr.
nIn addition to Helio Health’s comprehensive benefits package, this position is eligible for aSign-On incentiveup to$8,000 depending on licensure!
nResponsibilities
nnnProvides individual and group vocational counseling services to include:
n
nnAssessment of vocational and educational assessments.
n
nnFacilitates referrals for additional vocational assessments.
n
nnTreatment planning.
n
nnExpressive and experiential therapy modalities.
n
nnDidactic Lectures.
n
nnProvides job preparation and ongoing job development training.
n
nnDischarge planning.
n
nnRecord-keeping.
n
nnWorks with community organizations and agencies to enhance Vocational and Living Skills programming.
n
nnPerforms Quality Assurance activities to include:
n
nnProvides services according to agency policies and procedures and governmental regulations.
n
nnEvaluates programming and identifies strengths/problems
n
nnAssists in problem resolution and implementing appropriate program modifications.
n
nnParticipates in committees as assigned.
n
nnMaintains appropriate program records and statistical accountability.
n
nnRepresents program to the community.
n
nnOther tasks as assigned by supervisor.
n
n nQualifications
nnnMaster's degree in counseling or other related discipline required.
n
nnVocational rehabilitation counseling experience required.
n
nnQHP preferred but not required.
n
nnEquivalent alternative combination of education and experience will be considered.
n
nnKnowledge of community educational and vocational resources.
n
nnExcellent oral and written communication skills.
n
nnProficiency with basic computer applications.
n
nnMust have a valid NYS Driver's License.
n

Salary and hourly compensation offers are based on candidate's education level and experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager and program.
