Job description
The Volunteer Management Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for prospective and new volunteers and manages onboarding, communications, orientations, and volunteer administration, including overseeing recruiting for specific roles within Last Hope K9.
Job Tasks
Manage volunteer inbox and inquiries
Review volunteer interest forms and maintain records
Schedule and coordinate orientations for new volunteers
Create orientation registrations and event postings
Conduct orientation sessions
Send waivers and onboarding documents via DocuSign
Coordinate handoff to volunteer teams
Set up volunteers in systems (Workvivo)
Support special events and volunteer initiatives
Assist with volunteer engagement and retention
Job Requirements
Strong organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Comfortable presenting to groups
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficiency with email and collaboration tools (Outlook)
Attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Passion for animal welfare
5 hours/week
