Free skiing and riding lead the list of perks, along with free lessons, food discounts, tuning services and much more.Full training provided including Patrol Medical and Ski & Taboggan handlingNo prior Patrol experience necessaryJob Summary:Killington/Pico Resort Volunteer Patroller plays a critical role in maintaining slope safety, providing emergency medical care, and educating guests. Ski patrol helps ensure that guests can experience the mountain safely and confidently.Summary of Key Responsibilities:Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Provide emergency first aid to injured guestsTransport injured and uninjured skier/ridersPatrol assigned mountain areas regularly, identify and mark hazardsParticipate in appropriate training workshops/clinics and study of instructional materialEnforce and educate company skiing safety regulations and take appropriate disciplinary action as neededPerform trail closing proceduresAssist in lift evacuationComplete all documentation as it pertains to accident reportsAssist in maintaining tools and equipment used in rescue and trail maintenance workProvide superior service to our internal and external guestsPerform other tasks as assignedQualificationsBasic Qualifications:Basic education (high school or GED)Advanced skiing or snowboarding abilityMust have or pass CPR/AED certificationMust pass OEC prior to working independently on hillMust be able to lift at least 50 poundsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Volunteer on weekends and holiday periods, 21 days through winter seasonEffective communication skillsSuperior ability to work independently and collaborativelyCommitment to safetyAbility to work in challenging outdoor settingsExcellent guest service skillsIt is the policy of Killington/Pico Ski Resort Partners, LLC to provide equal opportunity to all volunteer applicants.
