Job description
Humanaut Health is a health optimization and longevity clinic helping men and women live vibrantly for decades. Our members are "midlife navigators" and health enthusiasts seeking innovative solutions for aging-related concerns such as pain, energy, weight, activity levels, appearance, perimenopause, and sexual health, as well as disease prevention.
We meet these needs with an integrative approach and a human touch. Licensed medical providers translate comprehensive assessments and personal goals into personalized care plans focused on optimal health. Plans may include traditional, hormone, peptide, regenerative, and lifestyle medicine. Care is delivered in person at our state-of-the-art clinics and supported through telemedicine and digital tools. We operate clinics in Austin, TX, Dallas, TX, and Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and we plan to open 100 clinics over the next four years.
Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on VP of Finance to lead the finance function for a growing multi-site clinic business. This is the senior finance role in the company, reporting directly to our CEO. This role is focused on building the finance function rather than maintaining an established one. You will own the financial foundation of a business scaling through both corporate-owned and franchised clinics, across multiple entities and an active new location pipeline. We currently work with an outside accounting firm.
The role is both investor-facing and cross-functional. You will present financial results, risks, and recommendations to our CEO, co-founders, and investors, and will be a primary point of contact for investors and lenders as we raise capital. Because clinic-level performance drives our results, you will also partner closely with General Managers, clinical operations, sales, and marketing to build budgets, set targets, and translate financial performance into terms the operating team can act on.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the CEO on fundraising by owning the data room, diligence, and the numbers behind our investor materials
Provide analysis and deal support on new markets, joint ventures, and international structures
Own the new clinic model that gives each location a pro forma, peak funding requirement, and payback date prior to lease execution
Own cash forecasting, capital planning, and the annual budget across a multi-site opening schedule
Own franchise economics, including royalty structures and franchisee-level unit economics
Own the outside accounting firm relationship and determine which functions are brought in house
Partner with the COO on compensation and incentive design
Analyze pricing and service line profitability
Build operational reporting that supports clinic-level decision making
Own monthly close, financial statements, and variance analysis across all entities
Perform the modeling and analysis directly. This is a hands-on role rather than a management role
Requirements and Qualifications:
Austin, TX based; this is a full-time position, with 3 days per week required in our downtown office
8-15 years in finance, including ownership of the function as a Controller, Director of Finance, VP Finance, or CFO
Hands-on modeling ability, with direct experience building models rather than reviewing them
Multi-unit experience, ideally in healthcare, wellness, fitness, hospitality, or retail
Experience presenting to investors or lenders and owning diligence end to end
Comfort in a founder-led environment, including the ability to challenge leadership when the analysis supports it
Comfortable using AI tools to improve reporting, analysis, and close
Plus, not required: franchise economics, experience standing up a finance function, CPA or CFA
Competitive compensation package including base salary plus bonus potential based on performance
An autonomous, fast-paced startup environment in a dynamic and growing industry
Opportunity to work directly with world-class physicians in the wellness and longevity space
Meaningful work that makes a difference for our patients and contributes to advancing health optimization science
Generous paid time off (PTO) and company holidays
Group medical, dental and vision insurance
401(k) and company-paid life insurance
Substantial employee-only membership and service discounts to ensure our team can fully experience the benefits of health optimization firsthand
