Job description
A leading investment firm is seeking a VP Legal/Compliance Data Officer to manage their Compliance framework from a data and AI perspective.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and maintain enterprise-wide policies and procedures related to:
Data collection, storage, retention, and disposal
Ensure compliance with applicable data protection and AI regulations, including:
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Monitor regulatory developments and proactively update policies.
Conduct compliance gap assessments and risk analyses.
Support internal and external audits.
Develop frameworks for AI risk classification and impact assessments.
Develop and deliver training materials on data protection and responsible AI use.
Work closely with Legal to interpret evolving regulatory requirements.
Partner with IT and Security on technical control alignment.
Qualifications
JD required
3+ years of experience in data protection, compliance, or risk management.
Demonstrated experience drafting formal policies and procedures.
Strong knowledge of global data privacy laws and AI governance frameworks
