nTHE OPPORTUNITY

nThe VP, Loan Officer is expected to independently monitor the performance of assigned Lender Finance credit facilities, identify deviations from agreed upon performance and take the appropriate remedial steps. The VP, Loan Officer should strive to build strong working relationships with all clients to ensure open communication and improved understanding of the client’s operating performance and needs. This position requires an ability to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision. Performs all duties in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.

nHOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

nnnManage a portfolio of Lender Finance loans by monitoring and tracking client’s financial performance and ensuring client adherence to the terms of the loan agreements including financial covenants, as applicable.

n

nnPerform financial statement analysis to monitor trends and new developments that may impact credit and collateral quality and loan performance. Address and resolve defaults in a timely manner.

n

nnMonitor the status of construction loans within the underlying lender’s borrowing base including the development timelines and budgets compared to underwritten time and cost estimates.

n

nnReceive, analyze and process draw requests.

n

nnManagement of Credit Analysts who will support Loan Officer in the completion of assigned responsibilities.

n

nnCollaborate with the Originations Group prior to loan closing to prepare for the transfer of new loans into Portfolio Management, including review of Loan Agreements, Intercreditor Agreements, and other legal documents.

n

nnRespond to requests from clients for modifications to existing loans and determine project feasibility, guarantor strength and adherence to bank credit policy. Negotiate terms acceptable to the bank, underwrite, document, and request approval for modifications from senior management, and work with counsel and client to execute modifications.

n

nnEnsure timely and accurate risk rating assessments and inform management of developing problems.

n

nnAdhere to procedures for data entry to systems and tracking reports, and maintain appropriate stewardship of credit files to document all material events and actions.

n

nnPrepare periodic reports and summaries to keep management informed on portfolio performance.

n

nnCommunicate with client and or supervisor to resolve loan issues or questions.

n

nnContribute to team effort by assisting in related tasks and special projects, as needed.

n

nnFollow all established policies and procedures.

n

nnPerform other duties and projects as assigned.

n nWHAT YOU’LL BRING

nnnMinimum of 6+ years of experience in the commercial real estate finance sector (commercial bank, investment bank, private equity, specialty finance, real estate finance, or mezzanine firm)

n

nnPreferred:

n

nnConstruction lending experience

n

nnExperience with negotiating loan documentation, with exposure to intercreditor arrangements

n

nnRequired: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting

n

nnPreferred: CPA or MBA

n

nnEntrepreneurial work ethic and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and team setting

n

nnAbility to analyze financial statements (profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements)

n

nnStrong analytical skills and resourcefulness necessary to complete in-depth industry and market analyses

n

nnAbility to communicate (orally and in writing) in a professional manner when dealing with clients, peers, and company contacts

n

nnAdvanced Excel spreadsheet skills are required in order to perform essential functions listed above

n

nnProficiency in use of AI tools to enhance productivity

n

nnGeneral understanding of corporate finance and accounting concepts

n

nnAbility to work independently and collaboratively

n

nnAbility to interface effectively and professionally with senior level management

n

nnAbility to multi-task several projects at once

n

nnExcellent attention to detail and accuracy

n

nnExcellent organizational and time management skills

n

nnProven ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Co-Pilot, Outlook, Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint)

n

nnCreative and strategic thinker capable of analyzing information/processes to determine overall trends and make appropriate conclusions

n

nnHigh School diploma or equivalent required

n nSALARY RANGE

nThe base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.
