The VP of Operations will be responsible for leading day‑to‑day manufacturing and operational activities across the business. This person will oversee multiple functional areas including production, engineering, supply chain, quality, inventory, logistics, scheduling, and warehouse operations across two buildings operating as one site.

This is a highly visible and hands‑on leadership role reporting directly to the President/CEO. The company is seeking a practical operational leader capable of balancing strategic planning with day‑to‑day execution while helping build scalable operational infrastructure.

The organization has experienced significant growth, and operational infrastructure has not kept pace with demand. Leadership is seeking someone who can bring structure, accountability, process discipline, and operational leadership to support the next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

Own overall plant and operational performance across the organization

Drive throughput, labor utilization, and operational efficiency improvements

Ensure on‑time delivery and production execution

Reduce cost per part and improve operational margins

Align supply chain, production, and inventory management functions

Own quality performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Lead and develop operational leadership teams

Establish accountability, structure, and operational discipline across departments

Develop and monitor operational KPIs and reporting metrics

Partner closely with ownership on operational strategy and long‑term planning

Support infrastructure development to keep pace with company growth

Maintain strong visibility on the production floor and throughout day‑to‑day operations

Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, quality, supply chain, finance, and customer service teams

Drive process improvements related to workflow, labor management, production flow, and operational efficiency

Ensure safety standards and operational compliance are consistently maintained

Organizational Structure

This role will directly oversee operational leadership across multiple functional areas including Plant Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality.

The VP of Operations will inherit an existing operational structure that includes approximately 13 indirect reports underneath department leadership.

The company currently has an internal operations leader in place, but leadership believes the organization requires a more experienced operational executive capable of leading the business through its next stage of growth.

Ideal Candidate Profile

5-10+ years of manufacturing operations leadership experience at the VP of Operations, Director of Operations, Plant Director, or similar leadership level

Strong manufacturing operations background within plastics manufacturing or similarly nuanced manufacturing environments preferred

Experience within rotational molding, blow molding, vacuum forming, or related plastics manufacturing processes strongly preferred

Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to work effectively in a family‑owned business environment

Strong operational discipline and process orientation

Proven ability to improve throughput, efficiency, quality, and operational structure

Strong communication, accountability, and leadership skills

Highly organized with strong time management and problem‑solving capabilities

Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on operational execution

Comfortable leading in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment experiencing growth and scaling challenges
