Warehouse AdministratorThe Warehouse Administrator is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the daily flow of warehouse operations. This role manages inventory records, product rotation, backorders, container receiving, and Warehouse Management System (WMS) transactions while working closely with Warehouse, Sales, and Purchasing.The Warehouse Administrator helps maintain inventory integrity, supports fulfillment decisions, and proactively identifies issues before they impact operations or customers.The Premier Quality StandardAt Premier Food Supplies, quality is more than finding mistakes—it is about preventing them. Every Warehouse Administrator is expected to:Lead with Integrity – Maintain accurate inventory records and communicate issues honestly.Verify, Don't Assume – Confirm inventory information before making system or inventory changes.Follow the Standard – Apply company procedures consistently to maintain inventory accuracy.Communicate Clearly – Collaborate effectively with Warehouse, Sales, Purchasing, and Operations.Think Beyond the Problem – Identify trends, investigate root causes, and improve warehouse processes.Protect the Customer – Accurate inventory ensures customers receive the right products at the right time.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).Perform cycle counts and inventory audits; investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.Monitor FEFO (First Expired, First Out) compliance and identify short-dated inventory.Verify inventory levels, lot numbers, expiration dates, product locations, and inventory adjustments.Identify slow-moving, aging, excess, or at-risk inventory and recommend corrective actions.Review backorders and assist with product allocation, substitutions, and inventory availability.Coordinate inventory transfers between warehouse locations to optimize stock levels.Support container receiving, inventory reconciliation, and product receiving activities.Communicate inventory shortages, product availability, and inventory updates with Warehouse, Sales, and Purchasing.Generate inventory reports and recommend process improvements to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.Follow all food safety, workplace safety, and company procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.Working ConditionsPrimarily office-based within a warehouse environment.Regular interaction with warehouse operations and inventory areas.Occasional work in refrigerated and freezer environments.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.Shift 2 (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experience.Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance.Paid Time Off and Company Holidays.401(k) retirement plan with employer match.Opportunities for training, advancement, and performance bonuses.Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance.Employee Sponsored Life Insurance.RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce, Operations, or a related field preferred.Previous experience in warehouse administration, inventory management, food distribution, or supply chain preferred.Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP software (NetSuite, SAP, Odoo, or similar).Strong Microsoft Excel and computer proficiency.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.Knowledge of inventory control, FEFO, product rotation, and warehouse operations.Experience with product allocation, substitutions, or food distribution is preferred.Previous experience in Indian grocery, restaurant, or food distribution is a plus.Strong written and verbal English communication skills; bilingual (English/Hindi) preferred.Ability to work onsite in Troy, Michigan.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.Reliable attendance and punctuality.
