Warehouse AssociateTacony Corporation is on the lookout to find their next Warehouse Associate to join the team in Ft. Worth, TX. This role is a key part of the distribution process and ensures the correct items/parts are picked, packed, and shipped to the consumer. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for verifying and maintaining records on incoming / outgoing shipments.What began in Nick Tacony's basement as a post-war, start-up company 80 years ago has since grown into an internationally recognized global products company with 8 locations, 300+ employees, and successful sales in over 100 countries. We aren't just looking for anybody, we are dedicated to finding someone who enjoys what they do, enjoys the people they work with and for, and want to be part of a growth oriented, people first, purposeful organization that is dedicated to the customer, and its mission and vision.What You'll DoPack, seal, label and affix proper postage to items being shipped; these actions may require the use of hand tools, power tools, postage meter, computer and other similar devices.Examine contents and compares with records (such as manifests or orders) to verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipmentsRecord shipment data such as weight, charges, space availability, damages & discrepancies, for record-keeping purposesDetermine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, route and ratesContact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instruction for shipping and delivery of materialsPull shipment from pick ticketCommunicate with established representatives to resolve problems such as damages, shortages, nonconformance to specificationsDeliver or route materials to departments using work devices such as hand-truck conveyor, sorting bins or fork truck as neededAssist with inventory control and cycle counting as assignedCross train to work in all areas of the distribution processWhat You'll NeedHigh school diploma requiredExperience in a manufacturing/distribution environment and understanding of general manufacturing process and flows, preferredMust exhibit a strong attention to detail, positive attitude, team spirit, and a willingness to learnMust complete forklift training and certificationMust be able to stand, walk, kneel or crouch for long periods of time, lift up to 70 poundsAbility to bend, stoop, twist, pull, walk, stretch, reach or lift over headWhat We OfferAs an employee at Tacony, you receive more than just a paycheck.
