Job description
Warehouse ClerkThe Warehouse Clerk reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and handles the receiving, storing and distributing material, equipment, etc. within the warehouse and production floor, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.Job Specific ResponsibilitiesChecks in material, matching purchase orders to deliveries, and distributing accordingly.Read customer orders, shipping orders, etc. to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and or shipped.Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence.Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for all employees and visitors at all times.Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.Open crates and other containers.Record amounts of materials received or distributed in PLEX.Assist production with PLEX recording.Responsible for inventory accuracy.PLEX championPerform cycle counts.Prepare parcels for mailing.General ResponsibilitiesAdhere to company policies and procedures.Follow all safety and MIOSHA requirements.Maintain a clean work environment.Participate in training and meetings.Follow all company Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Standards of Conduct policies.Report safety or quality concerns in a timely manner.Understand and implement Drake Driven Core Values.Core CompetenciesCommunicationAccountabilityPlanning and organizingWriting skillsInitiativeTeamwork and collaborationDecision makingProblem solvingTime managementSafety awarenessResults drivenAttention to detailQuality focusPosition Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a non-exempt, full-time hourly position (40 hours per week). Overtime may be required.Eligibility QualificationsHigh school diploma1 year of experience in warehousing and receiving manufacturing environmentPrior experience driving a HiloPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasksPhysical stamina for work in a manufacturing environmentWork EnvironmentManufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, chemicals, and temperature changes. PPE required
