Job description

Warehouse ClerkB-Sew Inn is a family-owned sales organization that has been serving sewing and creative enthusiasts for over 30 years. Together with our team, we operate a successful sewing machine and service business by delivering excellence and inspiration to our guests (customers). With five retail locations in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri and Texas, a Nationwide Education and Events Sales Division, and our E-Commerce Divisions, we continue to experience healthy growth and financial stability. Our Distribution Center and Administration Offices, based in Oklahoma, provides sales support and infrastructure to enable our company to be prepared for future growth and expansion.The Warehouse Clerk position is responsible to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of products, verifies and keeps records of incoming/outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing outlined duties. The successful candidate must be energetic, detail oriented and eager to learn. This is a full-time position Monday - Friday 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Receive and check incoming pick tickets.Compares identifying information and counts, weight, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against invoices, orders, or other records.Assembles cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers, inserts items into containers and affixes shipping labels on packed containers.Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.Locate products using technology.Retrieve orders according to quantity, size etc. ensuring accuracy.Stores and stocks items, as appropriate.Wrap orders before loading on trucks.Restock inventory manually or with warehouse equipment.Keep records of completed orders.Maintain equipment and report on malfunctions.Adhere to health & safety policies and quality standards.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required.Ability to learn and apply new skills, requiring minimal supervision.Great attention to detail.Diligent and punctual.Ability to follow instructions, respond to management direct and takes responsibility for own actions.Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.Familiarity with computer skills; willingness to learn Point of Sale Inventory Functions.Ability to lift 100lbs.Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.Physical Demands and Work Environment:While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time and must constantly reach with hands and fingers; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member is occasionally required to sit; talk or hear. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The team member is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud at times.
