Job Title: Warehouse Design Engineer
Location: Fairfield, OH 45014
Pay Rate: $48.39/hour | W-2 | No Benefits
Duration: 6 Months | Strong Potential to Extend
Shift: 1st Shift
Opportunity
We are seeking a Warehouse Design Engineer to drive warehouse layout, process optimization, and operational efficiency. This role is ideal for an experienced warehouse/industrial engineering professional who can transform warehouse operations through smart space utilization, lean processes, effective material flow, and data-driven improvements.
What You’ll Do:
Design and plan the inner layout of the warehouse to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency.
Develop warehouse layouts, product flow, and product handling systems.
Apply Lean concepts to streamline processes and improve workflow efficiency.
Support and optimize warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order preparation, and shipments .
Measure and analyze warehouse performance, including cost and service , and implement corrective actions.
Lead projects focused on warehouse process design, optimization, and continuous improvement .
Collaborate across warehouse departments to ensure efficient end-to-end operations.
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree required.
At least 2 years of warehouse design or optimization experience .
Proficiency with CAD / computer-aided design and drafting software .
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Experience with SAP .
Strong understanding of warehouse design, operations, and departmental processes.
Knowledge of SQL, Tableau, or database systems is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
