Job description
We have a great direct hire opportunity for a Warehouse Manager in Columbia for our client! The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all inventory movement in Distributorship’s warehouse including loading and unloading trucks, supervising 2–3 Warehouse Workers, ordering and handling byproducts and Econos, and processing cores.
salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
Oversee all warehouse functions, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and palletizing.
Direct a team of 2–3 warehouse workers, design efficient layouts, and establish standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Manage inventory control, cycle counts, and safeguarding for inventory valued at $0.5M–$3.0M, supporting 1M–13M shipped pieces annually.
Handle operational budgeting, expense control, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of warehouse management experience, including inventory control and accounting relationships.
strong leadership, communication, organizational, and coaching skills.
Knowledge of carrier operations, commerce regulations, and hazardous shipping laws.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and ability to operate motor vehicles.
Work Environment
Requires regular standing, walking, manual dexterity, and the ability to occasionally lift 70+ lbs.
Exposure to standard warehouse conditions, moving equipment, and industrial chemicals.
The essential functions of this role include:
