Role Description:

The Warehouse Manager is a hands-on position responsible for managing all aspects of the warehouse functions and providing people and operational leadership for the Warehouse.With a strong focus on safety this position ensures product is accurately picked to support delivery to our customers.This position will report to the Vice President of Procurement.

Qualifications:

Supervise and oversee all warehouse functions, working with all departments and locations to ensure smooth and productive daily operations

Schedule team members to handle daily requirements for picking and putting away product; Determine and implement ways to reallocate team members to meet daily needs due to vacations, call outs, short staff, etc.

Manage the efficient flow of all products coming into and out of the warehouse; picking, packing and loading onto the designated route trucks satisfying accurate and timely delivery to customers; includes placement of product in the warehouse

Maintain the warehouse operating system in relation to product database, use available reporting, and train warehouse employees to operate the system

Conduct physical inventory or cycle counts and end of month inventory reconciliation

Assist with and verify proper stocking and storage of products, product rotation and first in first out

Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse facility, coolers and storage areas at all times

Support overall facility maintenance (Interior and Exterior) by reporting issues to proper individuals

Handle simple maintenance issues as able

Coordinate inventory of various employee work items including high-visibility vests, gloves, etc.

Monitor/log fresh and frozen items for safe food temperature

Manage labor and department budget and identify ways to gain efficiencies

Ensure compliance with local, state and federal government requirements

Ensure compliance with company policies, practices and procedures

Communicate all changes to all associates

Coach, developing and mentoring direct reports; utilizing the performance management process to set goals and assessing development needs for each individual report

Conduct year-end reviews of all production, key vendors and overall performance of the team; making appropriate recommendations and decisions based on analysis for the following year

Maintain a favorable and collaborative working relationship with co-workers in all departments to foster an environment of trust and mutual respect; Drive standards and best practices whenever possible and effectively fostering a culture of engagement

Align department strategy with organizational goals

Enhance the organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new requests and assignments in a timely manner

Promote and adhere to the BE’S Way (Be Safe, Be Great and Be Ready) by integrating them into every action, decision, communication and touchpoints with team members, customers, and vendors

Drive standards and best practices whenever possible and effectively foster a culture of engagement

Requirements & Preferences:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED – Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management or Related Field – Preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Proven leadership with directly supervising team members including coaching, developing a team, performance management, hiring, and termination

High degree of honesty and integrity; team-player with ability to also work independently, exercise good judgement and take initiative with minimal direction and oversight

Results oriented and demonstrated strong sense of urgency

Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

Ability to work with a variety of people and handle difficult situations in a positive and professional manner

Proficiency in creation and use of metrics and ability to mentor others in the requirement to measure performance at all levels and against objectives and budgets

Ability to influence and positively motivate others with tact; proven successful negotiation and relationship skills

Possess influential and welcoming communication style; strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail to support effective interaction at all levels both internally and externally

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs

Ability and willingness to travel to various locations

Compensation is between $50,000 - $60,000 starting.
