We want a leader who knows their operation, knows their people, and isn't afraid to jump in alongside the team when needed.If you take pride in building a strong team and running an organized warehouse, we want to talk to you.What You'll OwnLead Your TeamLead, coach, and support a team of four warehouse employeesSet clear expectations and hold the team accountable for safety, accuracy, productivity, and performanceTrain and develop employees while recognizing strengths and opportunities for growthCreate an environment where teamwork, communication, and accountability matterRun the OperationOversee the day-to-day warehouse operation, including receiving, inventory, picking, shipping, storage, and logisticsPlan daily priorities and make sure the team has what they need to be successfulCoordinate schedules and workload to keep material moving efficientlyMaintain a clean, organized, and productive warehouseImprove How We WorkWe want a manager who doesn't just accept, \"That's how we've always done it.\"Look for opportunities to improve warehouse flow, organization, productivity, and accuracyDevelop and maintain efficient processes for product handling, inventory, shipping, and storageIdentify problems and take ownership of finding solutionsPartner with branch leadership to make improvements that support employees and customersKeep Safety at the CenterMaintain a safe working environment for your teamReinforce company safety standards and proper material-handling proceduresAddress safety concerns quickly and consistentlyLead by example and create a culture where everyone takes responsibility for working safelyWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who has warehouse experience AND knows how to lead people.3–5 years of warehouse leadership, supervisory, or management experienceExperience in industrial distribution preferred; HVAC or building materials experience is a plusStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to coach employees, set expectations, and hold people accountableStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsComfortable working with Microsoft Office and ERP/inventory systemsHands-on leadership style and willingness to work alongside the team when neededHigh school diploma or GED required; additional education is a plusAbility to work a typical 7:00 AM–4:00 PM Monday–Friday schedule, with flexibility between 6:00 AM–6:00 PM when operational needs require itWhy Conklin?Conklin Metal Industries has been in business since 1874 and is now in its fourth generation of family ownership.We are a leading distributor of sheet metal, HVAC, duct fabrication supplies, and sheet metal forming machinery throughout the Southeast.
