Job description
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of one large primary warehouse facility and two additional warehouses supporting a global chemical manufacturing business. This role owns all warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, storage, inventory control, internal material movements, staff leadership, third-party coordination, and regulatory compliance.
Essential Functions
Lead operations across three warehouse locations, ensuring consistent standards and performance.
Own all shipping and receiving activities for raw materials, intermediates, packaging, and finished goods.
Ensure DOT, OSHA, EPA, and hazardous materials compliance.
Manage inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and physical inventories.
Coordinate material flow between production, warehouses, and third-party locations.
Lead and develop warehouse supervisors and associates across multiple shifts.
Drive safety, continuous improvement, and cost control initiatives.
Track and report KPIs including safety, OTIF, labor productivity, and inventory accuracy.
Role Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of warehouse or logistics leadership experience in a chemical, manufacturing, or regulated environment.
Proven experience managing multiple warehouse locations.
Strong knowledge of hazardous material handling and compliance.
SAP experience required, including transactional execution and reporting (WM/EWM, MM, or similar modules).
Experience leading salaried and hourly teams across multiple shifts.
SAP S/4HANA experience.
Experience with ERP-integrated WMS systems.
Experience managing third-party warehouses and logistics providers.
Environmental Restrictions
Ability to perform essential job duties in both indoor and outdoor environments, including offices, facilities, and external job sites.
Regular exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, moving equipment, and uneven terrain.
Physical requirements may include sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, and operating tools or equipment as necessary to perform job responsibilities.
Regular attendance and adherence to company safety policies are required.
