Job description
Production Materials SpecialistWe’re looking for a Production Materials Specialist to join our team. This position plays an important part in keeping manufacturing operations moving by making sure production teams have the correct materials when and where they need them. This is a full-time position, 1st shift, Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm. Minimum pay is $18.00 hourly.ResponsibilitiesLocate and pull inventory based on production requirements and work ordersTransport materials throughout the facility to support production needsEnter inventory movements and material transactions into the company's ERP systemUse scanning technology to document and track materialsReplenish warehouse shelves and designated storage locationsKeep inventory clearly labeled and stored in the proper locationsReport missing or insufficient materials so shortages can be addressedMaintain an organized and safe warehouse environmentOperate approved material-handling equipment when properly trained and authorizedQualificationsAt least 2 years of hands-on warehouse, picking, distribution, stockroom or similar material-handling experiencePrevious experience selecting and preparing materials or inventory to fulfill production needsExperience working with RF scanners preferredComfortable using computer-based inventory or ERP systems to document material movementStrong attention to detailAble to manage assigned responsibilities independently and keep pace with daily production demandsWilling and able to operate powered material-handling equipment after completing requiring training/certificationComfortable working in an active environment that requires prolonged standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, and crouchingAble to safely work from ladders and step stools when retrieving or stocking materialAble to routinely handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs., with occasional lifting or movement of items up to 75 lbs.Company ProfileSelux Corporation has a successful track record of tremendous growth and sustainability as a world-wide manufacturer of architecturally designed luminaires, nestled right here in the Hudson Valley.
