Summary/Objective
Responsible for maximizing the weekly, monthly and annual performance of a fast-paced distribution facility by providing dynamic leadership. Manages various aspects of the daily operations of distribution center and warehouse which may include, but are not limited to, shipping and receiving, purchasing, costing, budget control, inventory control, and preparation of bid requests for services such as temporary labor, key suppliers, etc.
Essential Functions

Maximize the performance of the site inventory management system to ensure: care, custody, and control of customer inventory; productivity of space utilization (efficient product placement, etc.); accuracy to the floor and customer book; and proper utilization of information technology.
Provide products to customers in an efficient/ timely manner; arrange for packaging, transportation, and delivery of goods.
Monitor all processes and services related to movement of goods through customs; assure timely drayage service from port of entry to distribution center
Conduct periodic or special inventory audits and reconcile physical counts with WMS and financial systems
Participate in the development of operating goals and objectives for all warehousing and distribution operations; recommend and implement methods and procedures to enhance operational efficiencies and performance
Assist in the annual budget planning process and regularly monitor expenditures
Implement team member performance reviews, individual development plans, and secession plans.
Responsible that the facility operates to the routines outlined in the warehouse’s standard operating procedures.
Ensure team members and supervisory staff have the proper access to the necessary tools to perform their assigned duties and that the tools are routinely accounted for and adequately maintained.
Lead and provide direction to site workload planning and volume forecasting (i.e., staffing, equipment, space).

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Logistics or relevant experience
Strong mathematical skills and PC proficiency with knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Power Point
7-10 years’ experience in the Management of Warehouse Operations. Familiarity with CTPAT a plus!
Knowledgeable with a variety of cloud-based WMS systems (ex. Blue Yonder/Red Prairie/NetSuite)
Must be a strategic thinker with confidence and speed in execution
Establish priorities and effectively complete multiple tasks
Demonstrated ability to organize and work independently
Develop effective relationships and provide leadership
Excellent analytical and negotiation skills are required
Able to maintain a regular work schedule
Must be able to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of staff and company information
Must maintain a valid Georgia driver's licenses and meet our insurance carrier’s minimum standards
Must speak, read and understand English fluently
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This job also operates in a warehouse environment and may exposed to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment, and being exposed to seasonal inclement weather conditions.

Individual may need to sit, stand, and bend as needed. This position may require walking primarily on a level surface for periods of time as well as reaching above shoulder heights or below the waist or lifting as required throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required. This position may occasionally handle average weight objects of up to 40 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is an exempt position. Exempt employees are expected to work as much of each workday as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities. No overtime or additional compensation is provided to exempt employees. Position is eligible for annual company performance bonus. Must be able to maintain our regular schedule of Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. However, additional hours may be required to meet company deadlines.
