We value the diverse perspectives and talents each person brings and believe that our differences make us stronger.All employees are subject to and must execute an Employment Agreement that includes a restrictive covenant (Non-Compete, Non-Disclosure).Scott Electric has a current opening at our Hagerstown, MD branch for a Full-Time Warehouse Receiver (Mon-Fri 7:00 am-3:30 pm + OT).Position SummaryThe Warehouse Receiver is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments of electrical products and materials. This role ensures that all products are verified against purchase orders, properly documented, and stored in accordance with company standards. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, basic knowledge of electrical materials, and experience in a fast-paced distribution environment.Responsibilities:Receive and unload incoming shipments from vendors and carriersVerify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy (quantities, part numbers, condition)Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptlyAccurately enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS) or ERP systemLabel, tag, and route materials to appropriate warehouse locationsCoordinate with purchasing, customer service, and accounts payable teams regarding backorders, shortages, or incorrect shipmentsOperate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safelyMaintain organized and clean receiving and staging areasFollow company safety policies and OSHA guidelinesAssist with cycle counts and inventory audits as neededSupport overall warehouse operations, including picking and shipping, during peak periodsRequirements:High school diploma or GED required1–3 years of warehouse receiving experience, preferably in wholesale or distributionExperience handling electrical products (wire, conduit, fittings, panels, lighting, etc.)Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP softwareAbility to operate forkliftsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsBasic math and computer skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment (standing, bending, lifting)Accuracy and attention to detailTime managementTeamwork and communicationProblem-solvingSafety awarenessPreferred:Knowledge of electrical supply products and industry terminologyExperience in wholesale electrical distributionRF scanner experienceInventory control experienceForklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred)Must submit a background check and drug testing.Scott Electric offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:401(k)401(k) matchingHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insurancePaid time offReferral programEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFlexible spending accountTuition reimbursementPaid holidaysEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Schedule: 8-hour shiftWork Location: In person
