Job description
Warehouse ReceiverThe Warehouse Receiver is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing all incoming shipments of products. This role ensures inventory is accounted for, stored properly, and ready for distribution. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, and strong communication with team members.ResponsibilitiesReceive incoming deliveries; verify counts, product codes, and quality against purchase orders and bills of lading.Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.Unload trucks safely and efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.Accurately document and record received goods in the warehouse management system.Tag, label, and properly organize products in designated warehouse locations.Replenish the front pick line as needed to ensure products are available for order fulfillment.Inspect inventory for expiration dates, rotate stock properly to maintain product freshness and prevent expiration.Assist with loading trucks as needed.Moves trucks/vans within the warehouse or between designated locations as required.Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of receiving and storage areas.Communicate with drivers and supervisors to ensure smooth receiving operations.Adhere to all safety and company compliance standards.Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.Qualifications:Highschool Diploma or GED equivalentValid Driver's license with clean driving record1+ years of warehouse receiving experienceWMS experience (Encompass or other Warehouse Management Systems) preferredComfortable working in varying warehouse temperaturesAbility to lift and move up to 50 lbs. repeatedlyAbility to obtain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification to safely operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack etc.)Strong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentPhysical Demands:This role requires regular standing, walking and reaching. Must be able to regularly lift and move products ranging from 25 to 170 pounds, as well as climb, reach, and perform other physical movements necessary to carry out the essential duties of the position.
