Pay rate: $16/hr

Shift: Friday-Monday 6am-4:30pm (40hrs/wk)

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Sorter to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for picking, sorting, and preparing shipments within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Your efforts will ensure efficient warehouse distribution, accurate shipment sorting, and smooth warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, manual handling expertise, and experience with warehouse materials handling equipment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a well-organized supply chain process while developing valuable skills in warehouse management.

Responsibilities

Sort and organize incoming and outgoing shipments with precision and efficiency

Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and automatic inserting machines safely

Load and unload goods using appropriate manual handling techniques to prevent injury

Assist with shipment sorting, shipping, and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery

Maintain accurate records through data entry in warehouse management systems

Support mail distribution tasks, including mail processing and filing

Ensure proper organization of warehouse materials and supplies for easy retrieval

Perform routine inventory checks and assist with warehouse distribution activities

Collaborate with team members to uphold safety standards during outdoor work and indoor operations

Support warehouse operations by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance

Qualifications

Prior experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers preferred

Proficiency in using forklift trucks, data entry systems, and Microsoft Office applications

Knowledge of materials handling techniques, manual handling safety protocols, and shipping & receiving procedures

Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate material handling equipment effectively

Basic math skills for inventory counting and shipment calculations

Experience with automatic inserting machines or mail processing equipment is a plus

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing and documentation tasks

Excellent communication skills for customer service interactions and team collaboration

Outdoor work experience is desirable for roles involving outdoor storage or loading areas
