Job description
Warehouse SupervisorThe Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inbound receiving, outbound shipping, accurate inventory control, and a safe, organized work environment. This role leads warehouse staff, enforces safety and 5S standards.Essential Roles and ResponsibilitiesInbound Receiving Supervise the receipt of incoming materials and productsVerify quantities, inspect for damage, and ensure accurate documentationCoordinate put-away activities to maintain efficient storageOutbound Shipping Oversee picking, packing, and shipping operationsEnsure orders are shipped accurately, on time, and in compliance with company standardsCoordinate with carriers and internal teams as neededInventory Management Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct cycle counts and physical inventoriesInvestigate and resolve inventory discrepanciesEnsure proper inventory rotation and storage practices5S & Warehouse Organization Implement and sustain 5S standards (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse layoutDrive continuous improvement in warehouse processesSafety & PPE Compliance Enforce all safety policies and proceduresEnsure all team members wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all timesConduct safety training and report incidents or hazardsTeam Leadership Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staffAssign daily tasks and monitor performanceFoster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safetyAdministrative & Reporting Duties Use Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) to prepare reports, track KPIs, and manage documentationCommunicate effectively with management and other departmentsThis position may be required to perform additional job-related tasks as directed by management.Requirements3-5yrs of shipping Automotive experienceExperience with logistics warehouse 2yrsPrevious supervisor experience 2yrsKnowledge of SAP system 1-2 yrsComputer experience is a mustInternal Training RequirementsQuality Policy - Health & Safety OrientationQuality Objectives - New Hire or New Position OrientationEnvironmental Policy Statement - Samsung Philosophy and ValuesQuality Assurance RequirementsComply with requirements of the Quality Operating System (QOS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2008Identify concerns and initiate corrective actions (through verification) relating to product, process and quality systemsInitiate preventative and continuous improvement actions relating to product, process and quality systemsHealth & Safety RequirementsFollow safe work procedures established by the Company; and follow the OH&S directions of the head of your department or supervisorUse of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety systemsWhere PPE is required to control exposure to hazards in the workplace, wear and maintain the PPE as directed, as indicated in a risk assessment, or as required in OH&S proceduresUse other safety and emergency equipment provided in the workplace as directed or as required in OH&S proceduresAssist with the preparation of risk assessmentsBefore commencing work or research, a risk assessment should be conducted to identify, assess and control the hazards associated with the work or research.
