They are responsible for leading and motivating a fast-paced team, optimizing processes, maintaining safety standards, ensuring inventory accuracy, and utilizing WMS systems for reporting and order management. This role involves coordinating with other departments, overseeing shipping, and receiving activities, and implementing strategies for inventory control. Warehouse Supervisors also ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements. Our supply chain at UNFI is focused on providing superior service, quality and efficiency, improving every day to meet customers' unique needs.ScheduleSunday-Thursday, 4:30pm-1:30amJob ResponsibilitiesSchedules and supervises shipping/receiving associatesControls production standards, accuracy of shipments and receiving, using proper accuracy programs and systemsProcesses store returns and return to vendors using proper Company policiesCoordinates with Inventory Control associates regarding slotting, product rotation and space allocationConducts daily crew meeting to discuss safety, productivity and accuracyCommunicates with Transportation on the flow and receipt of backhaulsSupervises scheduling of inbound load appointmentsResponsible to sign for, sort and distribute inbound, overnight carrier and mail service deliveriesWalks warehouse daily to ensure that safety, security, sanitation and pest control codes, laws, and policies are maintainedDevelops and maintains good working relationships with all departmentsJob RequirementsPossess strong general knowledge of all warehousing operationsPossess good supervisory skills and the ability to work with and through others to achieve desired resultsPossess good communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to read and interpret computerized reportsRequires the analytical ability to handle administrative duties and mental alertness to ensure accurate, safe, and thorough completion of work activitiesPossess the ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptionsBasic computer skills required and personal computer experience helpful, with word processing and spreadsheet applicationsGood judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately availableUNFI is an Equal Opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive and respectful environment for all.
