Warehouse Lead SupervisorThe Gloucester Marine Terminal is operated by Gloucester Terminals LLC and offers stevedoring and break bulk services. The terminal, located in the Port of Philadelphia has direct access to highways as well as three rail lines that transit across the United States and Canada, providing unrivaled turnaround times for our partners.The Warehouse Lead Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of both the laborers and supervisors, as well as the management of all front-line warehouse operations. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising and reporting performance; and ensuring adherence to company standards and regulations. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.Full TimePrimary ResponsibilitiesManage order picking, checking, packing, and shipping to meet daily productivity goalsExpedite workflowSchedule work for each work areaServe as a liaison between the office staff, drivers, customers, and warehouse personnel to ensure process efficiencyEnforce quality control, including clean product, clean aisles, low error rate, and satisfactory productivity performanceReview and monitor security procedures, implement and perform security checks, and observe employee actions for compliance with security regulationsMonitor employee work performance for accuracy, neatness, and adherence to policies and proceduresRequirements3+ years of warehouse supervisor experienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentExperience supervising a teamBasic understanding of computer programs, including Microsoft Office and ExcelAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to resolve issues under tight timeframes and pressureExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong team-building and planning skillsStrong interpersonal skills: ability to develop productive business relationships and influence and educate employeesAbility to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)Work ConditionsThis position is in a refrigerated warehouse facility and involves exposure to widely varying temperature ranges, as well as all environmental weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.).
