In doing so, we help to make the world a better place.We are seeking a new team player to fill our shipping supervisor role available at our La Vergne TN, location Benefit Package Offered: Employee offered standard company benefit package to include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, accidental death benefits, and eligibility to participate in a safe harbor 401(k) plan.Bilingual is a mustPosition Summary:Supervise, coordinate, and oversee the logistics operations and provide coaching, development and training to the staff membersPosition Description:Direct inbound and outbound logistics operationsResponsibility over transportation, receiving, shipping, warehouse activities, safety performance, and logistics quality managementChampion continuous improvement by measuring KPI's and implementing lean tools to improve tact timeSupervise the hourly workers and ensure efficient movement of materialSet, communicate, and manage the day-to-day operational objectives for the team and ensure hourly metrics are metEnsure regulatory compliance and practices and procedures are followed by direct reportsConduct inventory control analysis and classificationPosition Requirements:3-7 years of experience in a logistics role is requiredExperience in manufacturing, metals, or stamping is required (minimum 3 years)Experience leading a team or in a supervisory/managerial role (minimum 3 years)An energetic and enthusiastic personalityExperience working with SAP or similar ERP experienceStrong analytic, leadership, and problem-solving skillsWork Environment:Works in a climate-controlled office environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending, frequent near vision use for reading and frequent computer usage.
