Warehouse SupervisorThe primary role of a Warehouse Supervisor is to oversee warehouse employees, ensuring the achievement of business objectives in areas such as safety, quality, productivity, and responsiveness.ResponsibilitiesCounsel and support hourly employees with their needs and concerns.Address performance behaviors by commending positive actions and discouraging negative ones.Use the Quality Network problem-solving process to address opportunities and engage the workforce for ideas.Apply the Workplace Organization (WPO) process to improve layouts and efficiency.Perform daily updates in the Timekeeping System (TKS) for accurate payroll processing.Utilize A-3 reporting format to document problem-solving activities and observe local A-3 guidelines.Conduct daily meetings to communicate business performance and facilitate two-way discussions.Perform and document weekly safety observation tours.Plan daily workloads in advance and support colleagues to optimize shift performance.Observe contractual requirements at both national and local levels.Enforce shop rules and perform daily SOP audit checks.Advance skills through the Individual Development Plan (IDP) process.Keep the General Supervisor Shop Committee informed of all pending activities.Essential SkillsKnowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.Proficiency in basic math.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Understanding of basic technology relevant to the assigned area.Knowledge of scheduling and management systems.High analytical ability to tackle complex problems.Effective interpersonal skills to work with others and motivate employees.Knowledge of quality control procedures.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school graduate with 1-2 years of technical or business school training.Training in skilled trades or equivalent technical training.Experience in warehouse/logistics supervision over 20+ people.Ability to manage and discipline employees.UAW or union experience strongly preferred.WMS experience is required.Managerial courage and good interpersonal skills.Agility to fill gaps as needed in logistics, warehouse management, inventory, and shipping.Why Work Here?Joining this team offers a valuable opportunity to become part of the Customer Care and Aftersales organization, responsible for the warehousing and distribution of aftermarket parts. Regular shift meetings with supervisors are conducted to ensure alignment with business demands.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Roanoke, TX.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
