Warranty AdministratorJoin CRST's Maintenance Team as a Warranty Administrator. In this role, you'll process manufacturer warranty claims, reconcile vendor payments, and maintain accurate records to ensure timely warranty recovery while supporting the efficiency of our fleet maintenance operations.How You'll Work:Location: Onsite-Cedar Rapids, IA Hours: Monday to Friday (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) Hours are flexible and may vary based on business needs. Compensation: This pay scale represents a good faith estimate of the hourly wage range the company reasonably expects to pay upon hire for this position: $20-$24 per hour. A final offer amount will depend on factors such as prior relevant experience, skills, and location. Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) with company match; paid time off; life and disability insurance; employee assistance program; professional development opportunities; and additional benefits that support your overall wellbeingJOB SUMMARY: The Warranty Administrator supports CRST's warranty program by processing manufacturer warranty claims, reconciling vendor payments, and maintaining accurate documentation to support timely and accurate warranty dollar recovery.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Claims Submission and Accuracy: Submit claims to vendors following applicable vendor warranty processes, ensuring proper documentation and criteria are met, and review chargeback claims to determine cause and avoid unnecessary rejectionsPayment Reconciliation and Short-Pay Follow-Up: Process vendor payments for warranty repairs, reconcile with vendor statements, and follow up directly with vendors on short-paid amounts and the policy filing processVendor and Shop Coordination: Contact outside vendors and internal shops to gather repair information needed to file claims, and arrange parts returns to manufacturers, supporting the parts department with scrap identification and disposalRecall and Trend Monitoring: Monitor warranty trends, identify component failures with potential for filing, and stay informed on factory recalls and campaigns to ensure accurate, timely claims processingRepair History and Data Trend Analysis: Review repair history to identify additional warranty claims, and use available reporting tools to identify trends in component data that may indicate warranty opportunitiesLabor Time Audit Support: Assist in developing a process to audit charged labor time at internal shop locations against recommended SRT timesAudit Documentation: Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation for warranty claims to support Warranty AuditsAccountability and Reliability: Maintain regular and reliable attendance while performing other duties as assigned to support team and business needsREQUIREMENTS:Education: High school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience: Experience in warranty claims processing, parts administration, or a related administrative/customer service roleCore Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication skills to accurately process claims and communicate professionally with vendors, shop personnel, and internal stakeholdersAnalytical and Technical Proficiency: Ability to review data and reports to identify trends supporting warranty dollar recovery, using standard office and reporting systemsPhysical Requirements: Work is performed in an office environment. Activities include sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 20 pounds, using standard office equipment, and communicating with colleagues or customers.
