Job description
Tesla Facilities Industrial Wastewater OperatorA Tesla facilities industrial wastewater operator has the responsibility to monitor and operate critical facility industrial wastewater treatment equipment. The operator is also responsible for ensuring all facilities equipment is operating in the most efficient manner possible to ensure that Tesla facilities meet safety, efficiency, quality, and environmental targets that exceed industry standards.ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor pumps, valves, compressors, storage tanks, filtration skids, and chemical injection systemsCollect wastewater samples, conduct routine analysis at various points of the treatment plant and make system adjustments to meet quality targetsUtilize control systems to monitor equipment, read and interpret charts, flow meters, and other system parameters to determine operating efficiency of equipment and systemsTroubleshoot operational parameters that fall outside of normal operating targets and set pointsDe-energize and isolate and prepare equipment for maintenance and construction workUse hand tools to make minor repairs on wastewater equipmentMonitor and maintain inventory levels of resources and supplies used in the treatment of manufacturing wastewaterRequirementsRequired to work with and around hazardous areas and hazardous chemicals and materialsFrequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 30 lbs. for up to 20 feet in distance, climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structuresAbility to wear a powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) while performing tasks for 4 consecutive hours, up to 12 hours per day2 years of college/technical school or equivalent work experience, applicable documented training and/or certifications is a plusOpen to schedule flexibility that will allow for a variety of shifts (12 hours), including days, nights, or weekends as neededExperience utilizing SCADA to monitor and troubleshoot advanced operating systemsProficiency in using Microsoft Office software suiteCompensation & BenefitsBenefitsAlong with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire:Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deductionFamily-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefitsDental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contributionCompany Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSAHealthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefitsCompany paid Basic Life, AD&DShort-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period)Employee Assistance ProgramSick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid HolidaysBack-up childcare and parenting support resourcesVoluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insuranceWeight Loss and Tobacco Cessation ProgramsTesla Babies programCommuter benefitsEmployee discounts and perks program
