Wastewater Treatment Operator – Level BLocation: Aiken, SCShift: 1st – working Mon – Fri 8-5pThis is the Job For YouIf you've spent a year already maintaining compliance for a government or municipal wastewater facility, you likely know how to do this job well. The question is whether you're being paid like it.We're placing a Level B Physical/Chemical Operator with a private environmental services company in Aiken, SC. This is a direct hire role with a straightforward Monday through Friday day schedule and pay starting at $28 an hour or more depending on your experience. You will work for the client from day one, no temporary wait to get hire on permanent.A Day in This RoleYou'll be trusted to run physical/chemical treatment systems, catch problems before they escalate, and keep the plant operating efficiently and in compliance. No micromanagement — just ownership of your work.Responsibilities Include:Operating and maintaining physical/chemical wastewater treatment systems within permit limitsMonitoring and troubleshooting pH adjustment, coagulation, flocculation, clarification, filtration, and chemical feed systemsIndependently adjusting chemical feed and treatment equipment to optimize performancePerforming sampling, testing, inspections, and preventative maintenanceCompleting operational logs, discharge monitoring reports, and compliance documentationCollaborating with plant leadership to improve plant efficiency and reliabilityHandling occasional off-hours or weekend response when operational needs ariseMaintaining accurate operational data in plant monitoring systemsYou're a Strong Fit If…You've been doing wastewater operations, likely in a municipal or government facility, and you're ready for a move that reflects your skill level. Your SC Level B license says you know the work.Required:SC Level B Physical/Chemical Operator LicenseAt least 1+ year of wastewater operations experienceStrong understanding of physical/chemical treatment processesAbility to troubleshoot systems without hand-holdingBasic computer and reporting system skillsAble to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in an industrial environmentEven Better If You Have:Industrial wastewater treatment experienceRegulatory inspection and environmental compliance familiarityExperience with SCADA or plant monitoring systemsSchedule and Pay1st Shift | Monday through Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PMPay: $28.00+/hour depending on experienceDirect hire — you are an employee of the company from day oneThis company has built a strong reputation in South Carolina's private environmental services sector.
