Wastewater Treatment Operations Specialist – Level BLocation: Columbia, SC st Shift (Mon. – Thurs. 7a to 3/4p)Four-Day Workweek. Private Sector Pay. Real Impact.You've put in the work. Now imagine finishing your workweek by Thursday afternoon and bringing home $28 an hour or more.We're placing an experienced Level B Physical/Chemical Operator with a private environmental services company in NE Columbia, SC. This is a direct hire position — no temp-to-perm runway, no waiting. You join their team from day one.What You'll OwnAs a Level B operator, you're not just maintaining — you're optimizing. The company expects you to think, troubleshoot, and make decisions. That means:Operating and maintaining physical/chemical wastewater treatment systems within permit limitsMonitoring and troubleshooting pH adjustment, coagulation, flocculation, clarification, filtration, and chemical feed systemsIndependently adjusting equipment and chemical feed systems to get the best performancePerforming routine sampling, testing, and process monitoring to hit compliance targetsCompleting discharge monitoring reports, operational logs, and required documentationCollaborating with plant leadership to improve performance and efficiencySupporting less experienced operators and mentoring when neededUsing Service Fusion or similar platforms for accurate operational dataThe Operator This Role Is Built ForYou hold a South Carolina Level B Physical/Chemical Operator License (or higher) and you have at least a year of real operational experience under your belt. You've probably spent that time in a government or municipal setting — and you know you can do more with a team that moves faster and rewards performance.You can troubleshoot independently. You don't need to be told twice. And you're ready for a company that trusts you to run your section of the plant the right way.SC Level B Physical/Chemical Operator License or higher1+ year of wastewater operations experienceStrong grasp of physical/chemical treatment processesAbility to troubleshoot independentlyBasic Microsoft Office and reporting system skillsAble to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in an industrial environmentIndustrial wastewater treatment backgroundEnvironmental compliance and inspection experienceFamiliarity with scheduling or field service softwareSchedule and CompensationMonday through Thursday, approximately 7:00 AM to 3:00 or 4:00 PMDirectly hired by client from day one.Pay starts at $28 an hourWhat the Private Sector Gives You That Government Work Doesn'tFaster decisions.
