Watch CommanderSunnyvale, CA 94085; San Jose, CA 95128OverviewSalary Range $75,000.00 - $75,000.00 Salary/year Position Type Full TimeDescriptionAbout the role:The Watch Commander directly oversees Supervisors and uniformed Specialists during assigned shifts. The Watch Commander should understand the fundamentals of security management and possess the project management skills in order to initiate and track security related projects, business continuity, customer service, and effective communications. A sound understanding of HR and personnel related subjects are necessary. The Watch Commander reports to the Operations Manager.In this role, your responsibilities will be:Serve as the incident commander while on watch, manage and coordinate all security operations and programs in assigned areaOversee a team of Security Specialists, assuring compliance with post orders, providing training and coaching as neededRespond in a timely manner to emergent events, issues, deficiencies and client requestsInitiate investigations and write incident reports as directedMaintain up to date and accurate records including timekeeping and daily activity reportsDraft, amend, maintain, and communicate Post Orders as directedPerform other related duties as requiredQualificationsAs a candidate you must have:Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, political science, emergency management, or other related discipline or equivalentFive plus years experience in safety and security management or supervision, law enforcement or military, or security control room supervisionProficient in PC and iOS hardware and software, including word processing, data analysis, Lenel, SalesforceComplete and maintain state guard certification as prescribed by presiding state law, as well as all client requested certification; all documentation and fees are the responsibility of the employee unless otherwise notedMust be a dependable team player with business maturity and enthusiasm with the ability to deliver high level of customer serviceHave flexibility to work any shifts on any day of the week (Mon-Sun) and willingness to assist the team when neededWe offer:Health, Dental, Vision, and 401k for eligible employeesPaid Time Off including Sick/Safe TimeA dynamic and challenging work environment with opportunity for growthSecurity Industry Specialists, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer
