At Bermex, we are always looking for motivated individuals who enjoy working independently and love the outdoors to become a part of our team.Must live within 20 miles of Gainesville, GA.About the RoleThe Water Meter Installer reports to the Smart Meter Deployment Operations Manager at Bermex. This position plays a key role in water meter maintenance and measurement. This position also requires a high degree of walking in outdoor environmental conditions, excellent time management, and exceptional flexibility day to day.Great Pay & Bonus Potential:Earn $25.00 per hour with the chance to boost your pay through the Bermex Productivity Incentive Plan (BPIP). By signing this offer letter, you agree to participate in this plan.What You'll DoWater Meter Maintenance:Perform visual inspections of water service for leaksIdentify hazards at meter sites and report accordinglyProperly change out water meters of varying sizes and brandsProperly change out water meter registers for AMI/AMR upgradeWater Meter Reading:Read water metersEnter data collected in the field into a handheld computerAssist on additional projects, as necessaryCustomer Communication:Refer all consumer complaints to the appropriate authoritiesProvide general information about the meter services to customers, when applicableUse telephones, tablets, and/or computers to communicateOther duties as assigned.About YouMust Haves:Education: None. Must be 18 years of age or olderExperience: No experience necessary, employees will be trained. Valid driver's license is requiredNice to Have:Education: High School Diploma or GEDExperience: 1 or more years of experience in the direct exchange of water meters and registers of varying sizes; 1 year of continuous work with the same employer, and/or 6 or more months workingYour SkillsAbility to multi-task, and work independently and as a teamExceptional flexibility in daily routines and route scheduling.
