We are hiring multiple Water Treatment Plant Operators to join our team at a state-of-the-art drinking water facility.Our plant operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and we are seeking dedicated professionals who thrive in a team environment and are committed to operational excellence. Successful candidates will work rotating 12-hour shifts, with several positions supporting night shift operations.If you're looking for a stable career, competitive compensation, advancement opportunities, and the chance to be part of a team that delivers safe, reliable drinking water every day, we want to hear from you.What You'll DoAs a Water Treatment Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of treatment processes and equipment that provide high-quality drinking water to the community.Plant OperationsOperate pumps, valves, motors, turbines, and related treatment equipment.Monitor plant control systems and adjust process controls to regulate water flow, pressure, and treatment performance.Operate and monitor treatment processes to ensure water quality standards are achieved.Regulate water movement through treatment, storage, and distribution systems.Perform system backwashing and routine operational adjustments.Monitor reservoirs, tanks, well stations, and plant equipment during assigned shifts.Water Quality & Laboratory TestingCollect water samples and perform laboratory testing, including pH, chlorine residual, dissolved oxygen, and other operational analyses.Evaluate test results and make process control adjustments to maintain regulatory compliance and treatment efficiency.Record and track water quality data, operational readings, and treatment information.Assist in maintaining accurate regulatory records and operational reports.Chemical Treatment & Process ControlSafely handle, transport, mix, and apply treatment chemicals.Adjust chemical feed systems based on water quality conditions and treatment demands.Change chlorine cylinders, inspect for leaks, and adjust feed rates as required.Monitor treatment effectiveness and make operational changes to optimize performance.Equipment Inspection & MaintenanceInspect equipment, gauges, meters, pumps, and treatment systems to identify operational concerns.Calibrate meters and monitoring devices used during assigned shifts.Perform routine preventative maintenance and housekeeping activities.Maintain a clean, organized, and professional facility environment.Safety & ComplianceFollow all company, state, and federal safety requirements.Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and emergency response activities.Maintain compliance with all operating procedures and regulatory requirements.What We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsFlorida Class C Water Operator License or higher and experience operating a drinking water treatment facility.High School Diploma or GED.
