nnAs a Wax Specialist at European Wax Center, you're the expert in the room. Guests trust you with their skin, their comfort, and their confidence. You'll deliver high-quality waxing services in your own private suite, build real relationships with returning guests, and grow a loyal book of business - all within the support of a nationally recognized brand.
nnWe're Ballast Wax, a fast-growing multi-unit EWC franchisee. We invest heavily in the development of our Wax Specialists because we know that when you grow, our centers grow. You'll have access to ongoing training, brand education, and a team that genuinely wants to see you thrive - technically, professionally, and financially.
nWHAT WE OFFER
nnCompensation
nnEarn $20+/hour - base pay, performance bonuses, and commissions combined
nTips on every service, paid directly to you - on top of your hourly earnings
nKeep growing: specialists typically reach $25–$30/hour between 6 months and a year as their guest book builds
nThe more your guest book grows, the more you earn - it's that direct
n nBase rate: $10/hour, plus performance bonuses, commissions and tips of $10–$15/hr as you build your book

nnGuest Experience & Service Delivery
nnDeliver professional waxing services in accordance with EWC brand protocols and licensing requirements
nGreet every guest with warmth, professionalism, and enthusiasm
nEducate guests on post-wax care, service frequency, and what to expect
nBuild genuine relationships that keep guests coming back - and referring friends
n nnSales & Guest Retention
nnRecommend skincare products and service packages that genuinely serve your guests
nConsistently achieve rebooking, product sales, and Wax Pass goals
nLeverage your product knowledge and consultative approach to drive retention
nContribute to center-wide performance targets
n nnHygiene, Safety & Standards
nnMaintain a clean, sterile, and organized wax suite at all times
nAdhere to all sanitation standards and state licensing laws without exception
nUphold brand standards and model the EWC guest experience

nnYou have the license. Now let's build the business.
nnYou hold an active Esthetician or Cosmetologist license in the state where you're applying - this is required.
nYou care about your guests beyond the service. You remember names, ask about their skin, and build trust one appointment at a time.
nYou're comfortable recommending products and services. You educate confidently and let the results speak for themselves.
nYou take sanitation and standards seriously. Your suite is always guest-ready and your protocols are never compromised.
nYou're a learner. Whether you're brand new or experienced, you show up to training ready to grow.
nYou're available when guests are - evenings and weekends included. Full-time and part-time schedules available.
