Translate complex financial information into clear recommendations and practical next steps

Coordinate with investment, tax, estate planning, insurance, and other professionals to provide integrated advice

Monitor financial plans and recommend adjustments as client circumstances, markets, tax laws, and long-term goals change

Provide specialized financial planning and analysis for clients who are considering, navigating, or rebuilding after divorce

Develop settlement scenarios and evaluate the short- and long-term effects of asset division, support arrangements, taxes, retirement assets, insurance, and housing decisions

Collaborate with family law attorneys, mediators, accountants, and other professionals to support informed and well-coordinated outcomes

Support mediation, collaborative divorce, or litigation matters when appropriate through clear analysis, documentation, financial reporting, and, when needed, expert testimony

Participate actively in business development by cultivating prospective clients and referral relationships, with particular emphasis on divorce and other significant life transitions

Build and maintain a broad network of centers of influence, including attorneys, accountants, mediators, therapists, and other professional advisors

Qualifications include:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field

Certified Divorce financial Analyst designation, or willingness to obtain the designation

CFP designation strongly preferred; CPA, CFA, or other relevant credentials are a plus

5-10+ years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or a related advisory role

Experience developing comprehensive financial plans and advising clients on cash flow, investments, retirement, tax, estate planning, insurance, and risk management

Strong understanding of divorce-related financial issues, including property division, support, tax considerations, and retirement asset distribution

Experience working with attorneys, accountants, mediators, or other professional advisors; collaborative divorce experience is a plus

Advanced analytical skills and experience with financial planning and modeling tools

Ability to manage sensitive client situations with empathy, discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment

Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial topics clearly

Strong relationship-management and business-development skills
