Job description
Overview:
nAccountable for a revenue goal met through the acquisition of new clients from internal and external sources, and the retention and expansion of a book of business. Consults and coordinates on the delivery of solutions for a comprehensive wealth management strategy for individuals, business owners, and/or families.
nPrimary Responsibilities:
nnnLeads the client relationship team and has overall responsibility for assuring the client has access to all resources and solutions of the firm.Work closely with Client Managers, Custom Credit, Investment Advisors and Trust Officers to assess client's current financial situation, goals and objectives to determine solutions through the financial planning process. Prioritize short term and long term needs of the client based on the analysis.

nnResponsible for leading the development of sales strategies to grow client base .Promote and sell the full array of financial services distributed by the Company to current and new clients.

nnCoordinates team communication and activities.Recommend ideas, suggestions and alternative wealth solutions by utilizing a team of specialists as applicable.
n
nnResponsible for managing pipeline and activities to assure appropriate number of prospect opportunities are in pipeline and moving through sales cycle to meet sales goal.Implement and deliver specific solutions.

nnLeads client relationship review discussion with committee.Manage and review the relationship on an ongoing basis to ensure client goals and objectives are achieved.

nnAdhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.
n
nnPromote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
n
nnMaintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
n
nnResponsible for meeting and maintaining registration requirements under the Federal SAFE Act.
n
nnComplete other related duties as assigned.

n nScope of Responsibilities:
nThis position has a direct impact on revenue growth of the Wealth Advisory business and fee income of the Bank.
nEducation and Experience Required:
nBachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years' sales experience in the financial services industry, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 11 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ sales experience in the high net worth and ultra high net worth client segment
nProven track record of implementing wealth management strategies
nEducation and Experience Preferred:
nSecurities licensing, CFP, CTFA, CPA designation
nMBA (Master’s degree in Business Administration) or JD (Juris Doctor)

nM&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $116,400.00 - $194,000.00 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
