Job description
Job TitleDuties and Responsibilities:Mold changeovers determining part defect, root cause and implementing appropriate corrective action.Preventative maintenance of injection molds by performing scheduled mold inspection which includes the disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of intricate mold tooling.Verify mold tooling dimensional conformance to print tolerances using component and reliable measurement techniques.Document in detail work performed on mold tooling maintenance work orders.Setup and operate molding machinery and support equipment.Assist with scheduled preventative maintenance functions.Work closely with setup technicians and operators to ensure proper operation of equipment.Compliant with OSHA regulations.Ensure good housekeeping.Knowledge of Environmental Health & SafetyGood Manufacturing PracticesQualifications:Minimum 5 years combined experience with plastic injection mold and tooling.Knowledge of Validation ProcessCapabilities of making independent tooling recommendationsAbility to effectively train technician traineesMust possess good communication/interpretation skills, good visual skills for accessing functionality of equipment, above basic mathematical skills, above minimum computer skill set, and reasoning ability.Must possess mechanical aptitude and ability to adapt and learn.Able to read and interpret blueprints.Physical Requirements:Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsMust be able to stand for full manufacturing shift, ability to reach with arms extended and/or overhead, excellent hand dexterity, ability to bend, stoop, stretch and similar activitiesAbility to accommodate occasional flexible schedule when required.Must be able to safely operate required equipment for performing job functionsCompensation Information:Pay TransparencyThis compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this role. Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, market level, other job-related factors, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. As applicable this role will also receive overtime compensation and may be eligible for shift premium compensation.Pay Range: $21 - $33Employee Benefits:401(k) Plan: You may participate in ITW's 401(k) Plan and contribute a portion of your salary through payroll deduction, to a retirement savings program on a pre-tax basis or after-tax basis.
