Weekend Caregiver – East Central PhoenixSenior Helpers of Central Phoenix is hiring compassionate and dependable Weekend Caregivers to provide one-on-one care and support to seniors in their homes. Our caregivers help older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent while providing the companionship and assistance they need to continue living at home. If you are dependable, compassionate, and passionate about helping others, we would love to have you join our growing team.ResponsibilitiesAs a Weekend Caregiver, responsibilities will vary based on each client's individualized care plan and may include:Providing companionship and meaningful conversationAssisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygieneProviding toileting and incontinence assistance when neededAssisting with walking, mobility, and safe transfersProviding safety supervision and fall-prevention supportPreparing meals and assisting with eating when neededProviding medication remindersCompleting light housekeeping, laundry, and linen changesAssisting with grocery shopping and errandsProviding transportation to appointments and activities when requiredEncouraging social engagement and healthy daily routinesProviding respite support for family caregiversSupporting clients living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other age-related conditionsFollowing each client's individualized care planCompleting accurate and timely shift documentationObserving and reporting changes in a client's physical, emotional, or behavioral conditionCommunicating professionally with clients, families, and the Senior Helpers office teamFollowing all Senior Helpers policies, procedures, and safety standardsQualificationsMust be at least 18 years oldCompassionate, patient, dependable, and respectfulGenuine interest in helping seniors remain safe and independentAbility to communicate effectively with clients, families, and office staffAbility to follow written and verbal instructions and individualized care plansAbility to pass required background and employment screeningsValid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insuranceComfortable using a smartphone for scheduling, communication, and documentationDependable attendance and ability to arrive on time for scheduled shiftsAbility to safely perform the physical duties required for assigned clientsPrevious professional, family, or volunteer caregiving experience is preferred but not requiredCNA, HHA, CPR, and/or First Aid certification is a plusWhy Join Senior Helpers of Central Phoenix?Flexible schedulingFull-time, part-time, and PRN opportunitiesPaid trainingOngoing caregiver education and developmentOne-on-one client careSupportive local office teamOpportunities to pick up additional shiftsOpportunities for professional growthMeaningful work helping seniors remain independent at homeApply today to join Senior Helpers of Central Phoenix and make a meaningful difference in the life of a senior.
