Weekend Shift (Fri-Sun) - Assembler/PackerGeorgetown Plant - Georgetown, TX 78626Assembler/PackerAs a CPI Assembler/Packer, you will perform a wider variety of repetitive assembly of the company's products into complete packages and/or sub-assemblies per engineering drawings and customer specifications. CPI has an immediate need for an Assembler/Packer in CPI's Georgetown, Texas location.Schedule: Work weekends and keep your weekdays free. Friday - Sunday, 6:00am - 6:00pm.As a CPI Assembler/Packer, you will perform final inspection of product prior to shipment to customer. May perform additional packaging tasks including but not limited to: generating and placing labels on packages, operating small production equipment, component installation and fitting assembly units. The Assembler/Packer II can rotate throughout the different functional stations of the assembly processes from TeraFrame to Mixed Model line to Cabling Section to Accessories, etc. Responsible for meeting safety, quality and productivity expectations.Essential Functions:Under minimal supervision, selects, inspects, assembles and/or packages product for final shipment to customer. Applies labels and palletizes per specifications.Inspects and maintains workplace for compliance with safety requirements. Corrects any safety issue prior to performing operations.Requisitions packaging material from warehouse, when necessary. Inspects material for shipping damage and/or supplier defects.Inspects product per finished goods inspection procedure. Informs Team Leader of any component that needs to be reworked or scrapped.Certifies that each product has completed Quality Assurance processes via Quality stamp.Works from blueprints, engineering specifications and production schedules.Additional Functions:Continuously maintains a clean work area. Disposes of trash and production scrap. Assists in cleaning common areas.Performs other related duties, as assigned by management.QualificationsCore Competencies:Ethics, Values, Integrity & Trust - Adheres and acts in line with CPI core values.Functional/Technical Skills - Possesses high level of skill, knowledge and ability in assigned functional area.Safety – Complies with company safety rules and regulations. Uses collaborative skills.Action Oriented & Adaptability - Takes initiative; acts promptly; is proactive.Ownership & Accountability - Proactively models, guards and demonstrates all of CPI's core values.Technical Competencies:High school, GED, or equivalent education required.Minimum of 3 years working in a Manufacturing/Industrial or related environment.Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering specifications to properly select parts.Capable of using measuring devices to perform product inspection.Available and willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as production demand dictates.Physical/Environmental Requirements:Frequent sitting, standing, walking, carrying, stooping, and crouchingLift up to 50 lbs.As a CPI, Assembler/Packer, you will also enjoy the unique benefits of becoming a CPI Employee Owner.
