Weekend Welder 2nd and 3rd ShiftsNow Hiring: Production Welders | Multiple Shifts Available | Shift DifferentialA growing manufacturing operation is seeking dependable welders to join its production team. In this hands-on role, you'll weld and fabricate sheet metal components using blueprints and engineering specifications while working in a safety-focused production environment.Daily responsibilities may include:Set up and operate welding equipment in a manufacturing environmentPerform production welding on sheet metal componentsWeld in multiple positions, including flat, vertical, and overheadRead and work from blueprints, engineering specifications, and production schedulesPlan welding procedures, tools, and material requirementsClean, sand, and prepare metal surfaces for weldingUse cutting torch equipment to cut materials to required sizes and shapesRepair or build up worn and defective metal surfacesInspect completed work using appropriate measuring devicesMaintain welding equipment and a clean, organized work areaRemove production scrap and dispose of materials properlyAssist with other production or manufacturing operations when neededFollow established safety, quality, and productivity standardsWelder QualificationsCandidates should have a combination of the following skills and experience:Previous production welding or sheet metal welding experience preferredMIG, gas, electric, or related welding experienceAbility to successfully complete a welding testAbility to read and understand blueprints and engineering specificationsExperience using measuring and inspection toolsBasic reading, writing, and math skillsStrong attention to quality and detailAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionDependable attendance and a safety-first mindsetWillingness to work overtime, extended hours, and/or weekends when production demands require itHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredMultiple ways to Apply!At Express, we value your time.
