A growing and vital company, Flex-N-Gate provides a great opportunity for hard-working and skilled individuals.Core CompetenciesCustomer FocusCommunicationEnergy and StressTeam WorkProblem SolvingAccountability and DependabilityEthics and IntegrityAnalyticalJob DutiesCreate, modify and maintain Welding Applications using Panasonic, Fanuc, ABB & Nachi Robotic WeldingCreate, modify and maintain PLC AB & Omron backups for welding equipmentModify Weld Schedules/ Setup Parameters for MIG, Spot & Projection Welding ApplicationsModify Weld Fixtures Setup to improve or correct welds/ components position as per drawing specificationsCreate & maintain Weld Schedules, Setup/ Changeover and Operator InstructionsCreate and maintain Poke Yoke Systems in Welding AreaSupport Production & Maintenance to troubleshoot and repair the Welding EquipmentIdentify & Implement Continuous Improvement Projects for increasing Plant Efficiency and Cost ReductionsParticipate in 8D Discipline Report to implement Process or Product Corrective and/or Preventive ActionsCreate and update Welding PFMEA for various productsParticipate in new welding equipment selection and suggest new welding equipmentAnalyze and make proposals for improvements to the performance indicators that apply to the welding processValidate and maintain records of welding control parametersAssist in training and methods for welding operationsOptimize the performance of welding consumablesSupport Plant Quality SystemActive participation in the implementation & development of Environmental Quality SystemsParticipate in commissioning new welding equipmentRequirementsCommunity College Diploma in Welding Engineering Technology orCertified Weld Technician from a recognized body or4 years related work experience in a welding manufacturing environmentPLC Programming experience using Allen Bradley or Omron PLCStrong organizational skillsStrong communication skills (both verbal and written)ISO 14000 system.Welding StandardsISO TS 16949 systemLeadershipMicrosoft OfficeAbility to follow guidelinesMust be a highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with an attention to detailEnthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives are prerequisitesStrong analytical abilityInterpersonal skills are requiredTroubleshooting ability is requiredStrong decision making and problem solving skillsDemonstrated good internal customer service skillsProven good presentation skillsWhat We Offer• Medical, dental, prescription, vision, life and disability insurance; and a flexible spending account • 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match • Extensive safety training, new hire orientation, continuous learning and development programs and tuition reimbursement • Paid holidays and vacation time What do our employees have to say?
