Job description
Welder 1The Latham MR Magnets facility is a manufacturing and development site for Magnetic Resonance Imaging magnets and other superconducting products used in Philips Magnetic Resonance Imaging and other customers.Your role:The ability to perform precise high-quality TIG welds on aluminum and stainless steelThe ability to run an automated welding cell by confidently operating and overseeing a robotic welding system. You will be required to set up the equipment, monitor its performance, and make adjustments to ensure each weld meets quality standards and handle routine maintenanceAbility to cut, bend, drill, tap, and perform similar operations as required to fabricate intricate assemblies encountered in cryogenic applicationsAbility to read and understand drawings and supporting documentsDemonstrated ability to use precision instrumentsYou're the right fit if:You have 1+ years of welding experience as well as experience using mechanical assembly tools.You have a high school diploma or equivalent.You can create high quality TIG and Mig welds and you can perform excellent vacuum leak tight TIG welds on aluminum.You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Shipping/Warehousing position.You have experience operating bridge cranes and forklift trucks, and you are able to read and write to follow documentation assembly procedures and sign off documentation as required.This is an onsite roleThis role will cover 3rd shift hours) from 11:20pm-7:30amAbout PhilipsLearn more about our business.Discover our rich and exciting history.Learn more about our purpose.Learn more about our culture.Philips Transparency DetailsThe pay range for this position in NY is $18.10 to $28.96 plus overtime eligible and 3rd shift pay differential.The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
