We offer competitive wages, quarterly bonus, comprehensive benefits that begins on Day ONE and paid training.What this looks like:3rd shift: Sunday night - Friday morning 10:15 pm - 6:15 am3rd shift starting pay: $26.75/hour (+ 8% shift premium)We don't lead our industry - our people do. Watch our video to see our team build top-of-the-line compact track loaders.As a Welder 3 at Caterpillar, you will:Use various tools provided in the work area to perform welding duties including but not limited to manual MIG WeldingRepair defective welds utilizing carbon air arc process, grinders, etc.Inspect own work including quality checks utilizing weld and attribute gages and other measuring tools.Use lifting devices to move heavy components of weights of more than 35 lbs.Complete routine maintenance (wire change, tip/nozzle change) in all qualified workstations.Rotate to various positions within the Job Function area to perform related activities.Follow documented procedures, standard work, routings, and blueprints to perform safe and defect-free operationsFollow and utilizes CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard WorkResponsible for process and final inspectionsFunction as part of a team, willing to be multi-trained and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periodsAbility to perform repetitive operationsAbility to lift up to 35 lbs.Basic Requirements:At least one year of welding experienceAt least one year of carbon air arc experienceTop Candidates will also have:Must be able to pass 2F fillet weld, 4F fillet weld (overhead) & 2G groove weld test.Further educationAdditional Information:Resumes are highly encouraged.
